Visit Naperville – Fall happenings

October brings that unmistakable fall crispness in the air, thoughts of falling leaves, pumpkin decorations, and pumpkin-spiced everything. I love this time of year!

Embrace the season with perfect weather to grab some friends and stroll downtown, stopping for mouth-watering bites and shopping along the way. Sample the tastes and smells of fall, like caramel corn, cinnamon donuts, pumpkin-spiced lattes or caramel apples at one of our many treat shops. Dine at restaurants with seasonal favorites and unique creations, maybe still enjoying a meal outside.

Enjoy the autumn foliage with a stroll on the Riverwalk or local golf, hiking at the DuPage Forest Preserve, or even the Naperville Half Marathon and 5K on Oct 16.

Other fall events include Naper Settlement’s All Hallows Eve (Oct 14-15), and Howlin’ at the Moon (Oct 21-22).

Kids can experience trick-or-treating downtown Naperville, the Annual Costume Parade, or Naperville Park District’s Halloween Happening, all in late October. Plus, don’t miss a Halloween Lights Tour aboard the Naperville Trolley!

Fall is also the perfect time to plan ahead for holiday or seasonal gatherings in Naperville for your staff. It may have been a while since your team has gathered, so make it special and plan ahead before year-end is here. Group catering options, either at your business or at a restaurant, are endless, and multiple restaurants can host a wide range of group sizes. Additionally, many attractions are venues that serve as food and entertainment all in one.

Consider treating your staff or a few stellar employees to an event or overnight hotel stay at one of our 18 local hotels. Naperville hotels provide an abundance of options, and several, like the Embassy Suites Naperville, are situated perfectly among a host of restaurant and attraction options.

The Hotel Indigo has you covered for a downtown Naperville locale.

And the Hotel Arista is among the many offerings of the CityGate Centre area, including restaurants, bars, and the luxurious Arista Salon and Spa.

Don’t miss the sights and sounds of fall. Plan ahead, before the busyness of year-end — and your employees will thank you!
