The Y – Early fall updates and programming from your Naperville YMCA team

-

Now that we’re in the swing of the school year, it’s time to pack away those flip flops and get out your cleats, high-tops, and cross trainers. That’s because we’ve got sports leagues and lessons galore at the Fry Family YMCA – and across the association. No matter your skill level, age, or schedule, we’ve got something for everyone, from soccer to pickleball to martial arts, and more.

And, OK, we’ve actually also got fall and winter swim programs, so maybe you can leave the flip-flops out a little while longer.

Visit us online or stop by the Fry Family Y front desk for more information on how to register.

Also across the association, September 9 through 18 is Welcoming Week, where organizations such as the YMCA of Metro Chicago bring together neighbors of all backgrounds to build connections and affirm the importance of inclusion. Your Naperville YMCA team will be hosting events, discussions, and more to promote cross-cultural understanding by bringing together immigrants and U.S.-born residents in a spirit of unity–because all are welcome at the YMCA!

Members, guests, and neighbors are all invited to join us for our free programming throughout Welcoming Week, including Welcome Day from 9AM to 12PM on Sat., Sept. 10. We’ll have information from other community organizations and a warrior-style obstacle course!

Finally, this is your friendly reminder that commemorative bricks from the Kroehler YMCA are still available for purchase online. By purchasing this keepsake, you can own a piece of Naperville history. Approximately 300 bricks from the former building that housed the Kroehler Y have been made available for $112 each, which recognizes the 112 years that the Kroehler Y served the Naperville community from 1910 to 2022. Proceeds from each brick and accompanying plaque will go to programs that support children and families in Naperville. Stop by our front desk for more information or get online to buy yours now!
