Century Walk: ‘Mr. and Mrs. Naperville’

-

According to The Old Farmer’s Almanac, the Dog Days of summer are traditionally the 40 days beginning July 3 and ending August 11, which is soon after the Summer Solstice when real heat arrives.

There’s no denying that there’s definitely a “summer swelter” this time of year so maybe you can find a way to enjoy even the hottest of days by going down to the foot of Rotary Hill at the Riverwalk to view Century Walk’s tribute to “Mr. & Mrs. Naperville” – Harold & Margaret Moser. They were married in 1949 and lived most of their married life in Cress Creek in Naperville, developed by Moser in the early 1960’s. It was one of the first subdivisions in the country built around a golf course and one of many the Moser’s developed over 50 years ago. And while you’re there maybe take a moment to “cool off’ at the Riverwalk Café, just a stone’s throw away.
