Pulse of Naperville Music Scene – Thanks for the musical memories

-

Some moments are forever vivid such the time a tall figure walked into my tiny office when it was located under the staircase up to Brand Bobosky’s Law Offices, then located on the corner of Chicago Avenue by the Main Street Bridge. Something about this kind family man with his passion for rock music assured me he’d be a perfect fit for PN. And Scott Itter who called himself “Dr. Music” began contributing meaningful monthly missives about more than music. In late June, we received good news/bad news that for now, Scott is taking a break to devote more time to his growing photography business and interviews. With much gratitude for his dedication to our efforts, we said we’d post his parting thoughts. —PN

*****************************
I’m sorry to say that I am drowning in projects around the house as well as work responsibilities. With the summer months and tours in full swing, I’m getting more photography work and interviews, too. I was hoping I could get something written for July, but it’s just not going to happen.

As it turns out, I am becoming less dependable for my column responsibilities. I am very sorry about that.

I’m sure there are many writers that can be more dependable and would love the opportunity to write for PN. As much as it pains me to say it, I feel like I should relinquish my spot and open that space for someone that can be consistent and make your workload easier to manage.

Saying goodbye to anyone that has read my work and found inspiration or positive light from it would be nearly impossible for me. I feel like I need to embrace each and every person that has come along on this journey with me. That task in words alone is not only daunting, but I fear it is impossible.

I’ve always tried to fill my space with stories of inspiration, love, and light, and I just hope readers felt a giant hug in there every once in a while.

I have loved and appreciated every moment with PN. Thanks so much for the opportunity over these past couple of decades! Maybe when I retire and wash my hands of all the other responsibility I’ll apply again!

Thank you so much!
