Camps at the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago have one thing in common: they’re all about discovery. In Y camps, youngsters are given the opportunity to explore, find new talents, try new activities, gain independence, form lasting friendships, and create lifelong memories!
Y camps have a way of transforming lives, taking us away from our normal routines and creating a safe environment to encounter and overcome a variety of challenges. No matter the task—from creative problem-solving to working together as a group in order to achieve a common goal—each camp experience nurtures character development in youth and teens through our core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
