What a crazy time of year with this Chicago weather. One day it feels like winter will never end and the next like spring is beckoning.
Here at the Western DuPage Special Recreation Association (WDSRA), we are already in full summer mode! Though it’s March, we are shifting into summer with programming and hiring.
Our summer camps brochure is online now at www.wdsra.com. We know parents are already beginning to make summer plans for their children. At WDSRA, we make summer a great experience for every camper. Camps are filled with sports, games, crafts, swimming, and a whole host of other fun activities. We have camps that begin where the school district’s summer school schedule ends and even includes transportation. For those looking for a full day option, we have our Camp Quest, Friday Fieldtrips and even an Extended Camp for those looking for a few more weeks of fun.
Our summer program brochure, which includes our traditional programs, will be online very soon too. There will once again be both virtual and in-person programs.
To make the experience the best for everyone, we only hire the most outstanding individuals to be our camp and program staff. Between camps and regular programs, we will be hiring 75-100 staff. These are great jobs for high school and college students. We offer maximum flexibility for even the busiest students. It’s also perfect for anyone looking to supplement their current job. You choose how many hours per week you work as well as whether you work days or evenings OR weekdays or weekends. And our commitments are for 6-weeks at a time. It’s that flexible.

WDSRA offers competitive wages based upon level of education and experience. Applicants must be 16 years or older. Students under 16 years of age are encouraged to volunteer with parental approval.
