With summer just around the corner, it’s time to start thinking about being outdoors, and engaging in fun with friends and families. The Naperville YMCAs are ready for Summer Camp 2022 to begin. Summer is a time for kids to stretch their imaginations, truly play, and learn through experiential experiences.
For roughly a century, the YMCA has been be providing Summer Camps for youth of all ages, empowering them to do mighty things. No matter what the world looks like the Y Camps are here to provide opportunities for youth to grow and thrive. Summer is an ideal time for youth to get up, get out and explore.
The American Camping Association shares that 96% of children who attend Day Camp say that “camp helped me make new friends” In addition, 92% say “Camp helped me feel good about myself.”
There are many unique benefits to attending Summer Camp at the Y. At Y Camp children have the opportunity to build unique interests, engage in a new type of friendship building, and help with mental stimulation and physical activity. Camp also reinforces independence and empowerment, leads to creativity, and promotes appreciation and gratitude.
