Awake Illinois is set to host fundraiser on Feb. 25

UPDATE, March 2022 / During the Naperville Responds for Veterans board meeting in mid-March, Awake Illinois presented the organization with a check for $2,000.  The donation is a portion of the proceeds from the recent sold-out fundraiser Awake Illinois hosted in the Tap in Pub at Hotel Arista.

UPDATE, March 2, 2022 / Though the sold-out fundraising event has passed, according to PN website stats, this post continues to attract eyeballs, indicating a follow up might be helpful to readers who happened to land here.

“We were thrilled at the turn out for Awake Illinois’ first fundraiser and grateful that we were able to contribute a portion of the proceeds raised to Naperville Responds for Veterans,” noted Josh McBroom, a member of the leadership team.

“We plan to hold another event in the coming months, date and location to be determined,” he said. “We’ll need to find a larger venue for the next event as we hit restaurant capacity and were forced to turn away would-be attendees. Good problem to have moving forward…”

McBroom added, “It’s very encouraging to see that more and more people are gravitating to grass roots movements of moms and dads advocating for parental rights and personal liberty.”
