Journey with Autism – Bright, brilliant blessings

-

While knowing gratitude, it’s plausible we don’t really understand how blessed we are.

Who of us until we are faced with losing something or someone truly appreciates how much luck there was in our lives?

Questioning ourselves, would value be increased if we felt the dim reality of less?

The pandemic took a lot away from us and held us captive in our homes. Some of us were more affected than others, but each of us got to experience some type of deprivation. Being away from family, having to stop fun activities, loss of not seeing our friends were a few.

Handed a never before situation, many hit hard by loss of loved ones. Would we really ever have made our biggest activity to be grocery shopping or walking long miles in the cold? How life changed, and showed us how what we took for granted was more precious than we knew.

I am beginning a program this month that was shuttered for almost two years. How much I’ve missed my friends and being in a big fun group.

Thanksgiving only comes once a year. More than that single day, we must be filled with gratitude for our blessings and boldly aware in life our fortunes could change. Without thankfulness we never live fully understanding the bright, brilliant, sometimes simplest blessings we experience in every minute of each precious day.
