Naperville Responds ‘Cheers For Veterans Reverse Raffle’ returns Nov. 4

-

The Annual Cheers For Veterans fundraiser in support of Naperville Responds For Veterans (NRFV) will begin at 6PM Thurs., Nov. 4.

The lucky date is set for all-American flag waving and fundraising to assist Veterans and their families in need with home repairs and renovations. The event associated annually around Veterans Day to celebrate our Veterans and military will feature a reverse raffle, cocktail party and live auction. The grand prize is $10,000.

The fundraiser will be held at Bobak’s Signature Events in Woodridge.

The reverse raffle will begin promptly at 7PM with a live auction at halftime. The informal cocktail party will give guests the opportunity to move about, eat, imbibe and be in good company with friends and fellow Veteran supporters.

“Join us for a fun evening and a toast,” said Dan Jurjovec, President of Naperville Responds For Veterans. “It will be time to give thanks and ‘Cheers’ our Veterans, along with active serving military.”

Raffle tickets are $100 each and only 500 will be sold. Admission to the cocktail party, $150 per guest, includes light bites, gourmet dinner stations, open bar, and an evening of good fun. Raffle ticket holders need not be present to win. Purchase raffle tickets and admissions at www.napervilleresponds.org/raffle.

Just what’s a “reverse raffle”?

Organizers explained that a reverse raffle is a raffle where the grand prize comes at the end. The last ticket drawn instead of the first is the big winner and in the case of the NRFV Reverse Raffle, “Cheers” will go all around when the big winner receives $10,000.

The point of the reverse raffle is to hold everyone’s attention until the end, while showcasing the important work for Veterans accomplished since 2010 and awarding many prizes along the way.

For instance, in addition to the big winnings for the 500th selection and final drawing, prizes will be awarded for the first pulled (a TV), as well as cash prizes for the 100th, 250th, 300th, 350th, 400th, 450th, 498th and 499th. And in between numbers, the drawing will include random prizes that pop-up for more entertainment.
