Naperville police report fatal traffic crash along 95th Street, seek witnesses and information

On Monday, October 4, 2021 at approximately 11:13AM, the Naperville Police Department and the Naperville Fire Department responded to the area of 95th Street and Wolf’s Crossing Road for a single vehicle crash with injuries.

The preliminary investigation indicates a 2009 black Audi A5 driven by a 60-year-old male out of Aurora was traveling westbound on 95th Street toward Wolf’s Crossing Road. The vehicle continued west of the intersection and struck a traffic signal.

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was deceased upon arrival. Crash investigators and reconstruction specialists from the Naperville Police Department Traffic Unit responded to the scene to investigate.

95th Street and Wolf’s Crossing Road remain closed (at 7:10PM), and traffic is being rerouted for the preliminary investigation.

Drivers should seek alternate routes for the time being if traveling near the area.

The crash investigation is on-going. Anyone with information regarding the crash is asked to contact the Naperville Police Department’s Traffic Unit at (630) 305-5477.
