Frontier Kite Fly returns June 6

-

The steady winds at Frontier Sports Complex on Naperville’s south side provide the perfect atmosphere for kite flying. On Sunday, June 6 from 1-4PM, kite experts from Chicago Kite will bring an amazing fleet of kites – some 90 feet long – to dazzle and inspire participants in the Naperville Park District’s Frontier Kite Fly, presented by The Branch. Participants also can enjoy flying kites at this free event, either by bringing their own kites or purchasing them onsite from Chicago Kite.

“Children will be delighted to see the colorful kites fill the sky,” said Program Manager Beth Durso. “It’s a fun way for families and people of all ages to kick off the summer season.”

The event also will include free entertainment, featuring Ken Schultz the Flying Fool, presenting a juggling show at 1PM and Scribble Monster, performing children’s music at 2PM. Rose Street Eats and Jimmy John’s food trucks will be on site, offering food for purchase.

Frontier Sports Complex is located at 3380 Cedar Glade Drive just south of Neuqua Valley High School. Parking is available at the park.

Attendees are asked to review participation guidelines for programs and facilities prior to attending. The Naperville Park District follows the guidelines issued by the State of Illinois under the Restore Illinois Plan and developed by the Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity (DCEO) and the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH); those guidelines can be found at www.napervilleparks.org/coronavirus.
