American Legion honors healthcare workers

-

The Naperville American Legion Post 43 recently honored three healthcare workers during its return to its monthly Dinner/Social in March held at the Judd Kendall VFW.

Recognized were Ben Hiltz, a Registered Nurse at the Med/Surgical Unit at Edward Hospital; Erica Katz, a Registered Nurse at the Emergency Department at Edward Hospital; and Amy Kruze, a Registered Nurse at the NICU Department at Edward Hospital.

All three healthcare workers are Naperville residents and each one was lauded for “amazing” efforts and dedication this past year during the pandemic.

The next American Legion Dinner/Social will be held beginning at 6PM on Sat., April 17, at the VFW.

“In April, we will be honoring all past and present American Legion Commanders,” said Nadia Rios, current Junior VIce American Legion Commander Naperville Post 43.

All events and activities follow local safety protocols and indoor space may limit attendance.

An ombudsman is Scandinavian in origin dating back to Viking times; and refers to a community representative; usually acting independently on behalf of an organization, body of elected officials, or civic group. Thanks Scandinavia for inventing ombudsman.
