Donate new unwrapped toys for Salvation Army

-

Drop off toys for Salvation Army at Naperville Fine Art Center & Gallery, 508 N. Center Street, just off Fifth Avenue.

Naperville Art League’s Board of Directors has offered to help the Salvation Army “rescue Christmas.” Faced with a dire shortage of unwrapped new toys for children, NAL is opening its doors at the Naperville Fine Art Center & Gallery for urgently needed Salvation Army toy donations.

“Santa needs help,” said Sally Sharp, NAL president. “And we are offering what might be a convenient location for some people to drop off unwrapped new toys.”

Thanks for dropping off new unwrapped toys for the Salvation Army where local artists share their talents.

From 10AM to 5PM Sat., Dec. 12, and from 10AM to 4PM Mon. Dec. 13 through Wed., Dec.15, the community is invited to bring new toys to the Naperville Fine Art Center & Gallery at 508 N. Center Street. The gallery is at the corner of Fifth Avenue and Center Street, north of the train station.

“We’ll have tubs for donations in our front entrance or people can call (630) 355-2530 for curbside assistance,” Sharp continued.

Facemasks are required. Local safety protocols will be followed.

Volunteer members of the art league will transport the toys to the Salvation Army facility on Galena Avenue in Aurora in time for their toy distribution.

New unwrapped toy accepted through Dec. 15

Toys will be accepted at the Naperville Art League location through December 15.

Especially needed are toys for ages 10 to 13. Educational games are popular. Toys for ages 0 to 2 are also in short supply.

In addition, donations are being accepted at Salvation Army, 2134 W. Galena Blvd. in Aurora (former Aldi building).

Naperville Art League is a 501c3 non-profit serving the community with art classes and events including the Riverwalk Fine Art Fair. www.naperville artleague.com.
