The first five years of a child’s life are crucial for lifelong success. Preschool provides young children a sense of safety and community through structure and routines. Their love of learning emerges as children work on social, emotional, cognitive and language skills through exploration and discovery within the classroom.
COVID-19 has brought a new challenge to the preschool classrooms, but one that is not able to be overcome. Our commitment to the health and safety of our families is evident through the measures that are in place. When you visit our preschool room, you will see temperature checks, mask wearing, social-distancing, handwashing, routine cleaning and sanitizing, to name a few safety measures being implemented.
The Fry Family YMCA has always been committed to youth development, and believes every child deserves the chance to reach his or her fullest potential. The Fry Family Y offers licensed child care that gives children a safe and nurturing environment in which to grow, learn and thrive. At the Fry Family YMCA in Naperville, our year-round, DCFS-licensed preschool programs encourage children to discover their creativity while learning the problem-solving and social skills that will prepare them for the first day of Kindergarten and beyond. We’ll introduce your child to literacy, math, science and social studies concepts through the best hands-on activities. Our early childhood educators use the Creative Curriculum (based on the Illinois Early Learning Standards) and undergo continual professional development to ensure our classrooms are using the best possible practices.
We have Full-Day and Half-Day scheduling options. Both schedules include:
- 2 Healthy Snacks and Catered Lunch
- Weekly Swim Lesson
- Daily gym and/or outdoor time
