The Naperville Jaycees have announced Virtual Fundraiser Performances featuring live music on consecutive Wednesdays in September 2020.

First up is Dave Mikulskis of Hi Infidelity, presented by 95.9 The River. This free virtual event will stream live on the Naperville Last Fling Facebook page beginning at 7PM on Wed., Sept. 16, 2020.

Their second Virtual Fundraiser Performance will feature Pino Farina, also presented by 95.9 The River. The Pino event will stream live on the Naperville Last Fling Facebook page at 7PM on Wed., Sept. 23.

Last Fling leadership gets creative to feature bands, raise funds

In June of 2020, the Naperville Jaycees were disheartened to announce the cancellation of the 2020 Naperville Last Fling due to COVID-19, organizers said. Since 1981, the four-day community festival has been the Jaycees’ largest fundraiser of the year and money raised has been donated to local nonprofits. Determined to do everything possible to raise critical funds for needs in the community, the Last Fling Leadership Team decided to get creative with their fundraising for 2020.

“Dave was the first musician to get back to me,” noted Danielle Tufano, the Entertainment Chair for the 2020 Last Fling. “Hi Infidelity has been a big part of our event over the years and we truly appreciate Dave’s kindness to step up and help us raise money to give back to community nonprofits.”

Tuffano went on to express appreciation for Pino Farina’s generosity in helping the Jaycees raise critical funds to support local nonprofit organizations with his live stream event on Sept. 23.

“I know Pino’s virtual performance will be a fun activity for families to enjoy from the comfort of their own home.”

Tufano added that if any other bands want to help and have some fun, they are encouraged to email her at Entertainment@LastFling.org.

While the live stream event is free, the Jaycees are hopeful the community will consider making a donation through a link that will be provided during the live stream.
