Above / Jefferson Avenue in downtown Naperville will be closed to vehicular traffic this weekend, July 31 through August 2, from Main Street on the west to Washington Street on the east. The one-block area will be reserved for pedestrians only and dining tables will be spread out throughout the block with social distancing top of mind.

Original Post, July 30, 2020 / Downtown businesses will be “taking it to the streets” this weekend with the annual Summer Sizzlin’ Sidewalk Sales, augmented by what’s being billed as the “Jefferson Avenue Dining Pavilion.” Three special days of summer savings, inside and out, are sure to please every appetite for bargain shopping and delicious dining beginning this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 31, Aug. 1 and Aug. 2.
Sales start by 10AM and go until dusk, complimented by restaurant choices and hours. Tables are open to the general public with grab-and-go meals and desserts.
“Downtown Naperville and Dine Naperville are excited to join forces for our annual summer sidewalk sales this upcoming weekend,” noted Katie Wood, executive director of the Downtown Naperville Alliance. “We’re taking the required measures to ensure the safety of those visiting downtown while they enjoy a day of great sales at our restaurants and shops.”
