On May 25, Little Friends celebrated its 55th year in existence as a resource to help children and adults challenged by intellectual/developmental disabilities and autism. Touching literally thousands of people over this journey, reflecting on the work we have done brought with it the need to express our appreciation for the past and continued support we have received along the way. So many people have been incredibly generous with their time, talents, and treasures to help create what we have become today.
On behalf of those we serve, thank you to all the people who have helped us.
As we fast forward to today and begin the task of reopening programs that have been temporarily shuttered or changed to work in a remote setting, we do so with the mindset that has been with us since this pandemic began. Our objective has been to keep safe and healthy all those that we care for, and those who provide the services as employees of Little Friends.
Every day we have been able to report that our people are safe and remain healthy for us has been a great day! We recognize it happened because of hard work and disciplines that were new to all of us just a few months ago.
We have long term plans to be here for the community for many more years beyond the 55 that we just celebrated. Regardless of the short-term challenges brought on by the pandemic, the needs of those we serve will continue requiring help, and with your generous support we are confident we will meet what’s expected of us.
