The Y – Let’s Do Mighty Things this Summer

-

The countdown to summer is on and kids are not the only ones looking forward to the summer months.

The Naperville YMCAs are getting ready for summer programming and activities that stimulate both mind and body, in an effort to help children have an amazing summer. It is important that children both play and learn throughout the summer. From Summer Day Camp, Specialty Camps, Preschool Camps, and Sports Camps the Y is able to support all children in Naperville and helps them discover and reach their full potential. Summer time is a fun, magical time in childhood. It is a time for children to explore-and build lasting friendships.

Why should your child camp with us? Our daily schedules are focused on childhood development, convenient hours for working families, we have a tradition of safety, inclusion and community engagement, and Y camps give your child memories that last a lifetime. The Naperville YMCA offers camp programs in multiple locations throughout Naperville, for children of all ages beginning at age 4.

Summer Camps benefit children in many ways. Camp nurtures social skills, giving a child an opportunity to unplug and build new friendships. Camp enhances self-confidence through skill building and unique planned activities. Camp also helps promote teamwork and cooperation skills. Camp is the place where a child can build character and develop personal awareness and values.

If children are looking for that overnight camp experience, a YMCA resident camp provides kids with adventure, healthy fun, personal growth and friendships that can take a so-so summer and turn it into a memory that lasts a lifetime. YMCA Camp MacLean in Burlington, Wisconsin, has over 70 years of experience providing a welcoming environment for kids where they can belong, build relationships, develop character and discover their potential.

Whether it’s keeping children active and engaged throughout the summer, developing a special skill, engaging in a new sport, or spending the summer with Y friends, the Naperville YMCA has a program to benefit all youth in the community. Registration is going on now – including an early bird discount until April 18.
