Celebrate North Central College Championship Football Season! – 3:30PM | Waves & Cheers!
Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium, 455 S. Brainard St. Naperville 60540
The community is invited to celebrate the 2019 North Central College Championship Season with cheers at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium. The Naperville Police and Fire Departments will lead players and coaches in three Naperville Trolleys during a 3:30PM processional from Fire Station 7, 1380 Aurora Ave., to a 4PM rally at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium, 455 S. Naperville Restaurant Week – thru Feb. 8
Starting January 24 and running through February 8, the Naperville Restaurant Week will showcase many restaurants throughout town. From fast casual to fancy dining, each venue will provide either a prix fixe menu at an appetizing price, or discounts on featured menu choices. Come in out of the cold and sample something new or enjoy an old favorite! Be sure to check back often to see the updated participating restaurants, menus and specials.

Naperville North High School Performing Arts presents performances of “one of the most famous and haunting stories to emerge from the 20th Century” at 7PM Jan. 31 and Feb. 1 as well as 2PM Feb. 2. Tickets ($10 Adults / $5 Students and Seniors) available prior to the show at www.nnhsarts.com. Alert! Performances begin at the ticketed time. Late entry will not be permitted until the designated late seating time which can be up to 20 minutes after the designated start time.

The 32nd annual Gospel Extravaganza celebrating Black History Month will be held in Wentz Concert Hall, 171 E. Chicago Ave. This free event will be hosted by Voices of Praise, Office of Faith & Action and Multicultural Affairs. For more information, visit finearts.northcentralcollege.edu/event.

Alert! Alert! Alert! Be super safe!  Naperville Police Department will be out in force during a traffic safety campaign focusing on drivers under the influence, unbuckled and distracted while operating a vehicle. The high-visibility crackdown will run throughout Super Bowl Weekend. Be safe.

Groundhog Day
The groundhog has come to realize, whether he sees his shadow or not, there are still six more weeks of winter. Update, 6:30AM: Punxsutawney Phil, the world-famous weather-predicting groundhog, selected the scroll that says an early spring for 2020!

German-language Church Service – 11:30AM | Free
St. John United Church of Christ – 1190 Olesen Drive Naperville, IL 60540
Church services in the German language will be held at St. John United Church of Christ at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, February 2. The service will be led by Pastor Dr. Klaus-Peter Adam, and all are welcome to attend. St. John UCC is located at 1190 Olesen Drive. German services are held on the first Sunday of every month and will continue on March 1 and April 5. For more information, call (630) 355-5208.

Lots of enthusiasm for this year’s match up as well as the touching and fun-loving commercials is evident around town. If anybody happens to notice a very brief Positively Naperville commercial among the big Super Bowl mix, let us know. Celebrate safely!
