Approaching the New Year is always a time of reflection for me. I not only think about the past year, but I think about my journey through life. In the process, I end up taking inventory of the great many things that make life so precious, and family and friends always come to the fore.
Every year I come to realize that a large percentage of the people I hold so dear have come to me by way of music. From people working in the industry to passionate fans, each person has had an impact on my life in so many different ways.
I have traveled parts of the world and made lifelong friendships with fans that share the same passion for music. I have come to call radio personalities, producers, and so many talented musicians “friend.” And, I am humbled and blessed to be able to consistently communicate with all of you through this beacon of light called Positively Naperville. It is my wish that each of you might ring in the New Year by looking at your lives and recognizing all of the people that have brought you to the place you sit today.
I recently had a young man tell me that he imagined my life was “pretty nice” because I’m always in good spirits. In turn, I urged him to invite positivity into his life as he believes I have.
My life definitely is “pretty nice,” and his comment was music to my ears.
