The entire family can ring in the New Year together with a countdown to Noon celebration at Bubble Bash: A Kid-Friendly New Year’s Eve at DuPage Children’s Museum (DCM) from 9AM to noon on Tues., Dec. 31, 2019. A portion of the proceeds helps to fund Museum exhibits and programs.

Families will spend their morning creating lasting memories, exploring the Museum’s hands-on exhibits, taking part in special activities, enjoying live musical performances, and more!

Live entertainment abounds

This year’s live entertainment includes Wendy and DB along with a DJ from Bach to Rock Naperville. Wendy and DB, an award-winning Children’s Music Duo, will have families singing, dancing, and jumping along with their original songs and upbeat lyrics. Each song encourages imagination and exploration! The Bach to Rock DJ will keep the energy high with family-friendly music throughout the event.

Special activities include Shake Your Music Maker, Pump Up Your Party Wear, Glow Your Mind – a fluorescent art experience, Baby Paint Your Fireworks, Stick It, Sweet Treats, face painting, a photo booth, and more.

“This event is all about creating memorable experiences–whether families are creating their own musical instruments to make some noise at the countdown or mixing their own fluorescent dough to take home,” said Michelle Gonzalez, Museum Experience Manager, DuPage Children’s Museum. “Children will have the opportunity to play with our exhibits and also create an array of items to celebrate the new year before our ‘choose your own countdown’ at Noon.”

Families have a choice among confetti, bubbles or a sensory-friendly quiet countdown.

Choose a Countdown

The action-packed morning concludes with a lively countdown to Noon. Three different countdowns will take place throughout the Museum and attendees can choose to ring in the New Year with confetti, bubbles, or a sensory-friendly quiet countdown.

This annual year-end celebration, now in its 18th year, has become a holiday tradition for families to celebrate together.
