Naperville Responds For Veterans will host The Naperville Salute, a hometown-focused Fourth of July celebration, on July 3-4, 2020.
The Salute will blend community, local entertainment, a “Taste of Naperville,” family fun area and conclude with fireworks on July 4. The footprint will encompass Rotary Hill and the grounds of Naper Settlement near downtown Naperville and the Riverwalk.
“The Salute is our celebration of Independence Day, centered around those that have sacrificed the most – our veterans, active military, and first responders,” said Warren Dixon III, The Salute’s co-chairman. “This hometown, low cost, family-friendly celebration will focus on our Salute to them while celebrating our great nation with our friends and neighbors.”
The Salute is being co-chaired by Naperville resident Herm Schneider, who is also Head Athletic Trainer Emeritus for the Chicago White Sox.
Still in the planning stages, The Salute will be designed for the Naperville community.
“The Salute will include a ‘Taste of Naperville’ featuring Naperville restaurants and the musical talent will predominantly be local,” said Dixon.
The Salute has partnered with the City of Naperville, Naperville Park District and School District 203 – to have a strategic footprint near Downtown Naperville – and is committed to making the celebration an enjoyable experience for all Naperville residents.
Proceeds from The Salute will benefit Naperville Responds for Veterans. For more info, visit www.napervillesalute.com.
