This past school year, all six high schools NCTV17 covers for Naperville Sports Weekly won a state championship, creating some amazing memories for the players, coaches, parents and fans!
The wins started in the fall with Neuqua Valley’s girls swim & dive, and Naperville North’s boys soccer and girls cross country. In the winter, the combined Warrior’s Hockey Team (Metea/Waubonsie) hoisted the Blackhawk state cup at the United Center after a thrilling third period of overtime. Spring saw wins too with the Benet girls soccer team winning the 2A title in overtime, while the Naperville North girls won the class 3A state soccer title in penalty kicks. To say it’s been an incredible year for our local athletes would be an understatement.
The pride of winning will never fade, but the specific memories may. NCTV17 can help. We have captured many of these memories on video. At the end of each season, the sports staff puts together DVDs of all the highlights they captured for Naperville Sports Weekly. Those DVDs are available in our online store at NCTV17.com. You can also order a DVD of an individual highlight or feature story or interview. And, for a few dollars more, you can request a custom DVD be created with a specific student’s video highlights going back over the years.
