Equal Fun for Everyone – Thank you Exchange Club of Naperville and Ribfest Volunteers

-

Let’s talk 2019 Ribfest. You may think it’s a bit early considering Ribfest takes place July 36.  But this is actually the perfect time.

Kristin Rafferty (2nd from left), representing the Exchange Club of Naperville Allocation committee, presented a $20,900 check in support of WDSRA inclusion services in Naperville. Also pictured are L-R Tammy Kerrins (WDSRA Manager of Inclusion Services), Lea Jackman (WDSRA Superintendent of Development and Communications) and Sandy Gbur (WDSRA Executive Director).

First, we want to thank the Exchange Club of Naperville for all they do to support Naperville youth. The magnitude of Ribfest goes way beyond the excitement of ribs, music and family fun.  All proceeds are donated to 48 local agencies as well as the Edward Care Center and Project Help. WDSRA is grateful to be one of those agencies. Last month, Kristin Rafferty, representing the Exchange Club of Naperville Allocation committee, presented a $20,900 check in support of WDSRA inclusion services in Naperville thanks to the 2018 event.

Second, we want to thank the many friends of WDSRA who volunteered last year on our behalf. Whether working in the sponsor tent or the beer tent, they all had a great time. What an amazing opportunity to help our organization, the Exchange Club of Naperville AND enjoy all the festivities of Ribfest at the same time.

Friends of WDSRA volunteered in the sponsor tent, the beer tent and other areas at the 2018 Ribfest.

And lastly, this is the perfect time to talk about Ribfest because volunteer slots for this year’s event are now open. Everyone who wants to be a part of this event and help the youth in Naperville… or WDSRA…. can register today. Simply go to www.ribfest.net/volunteer. Pick a day, time and area you want to help. Naturally, we would love to have you sign up on behalf of WDSRA.  But really any organization will benefit from your volunteerism.

So on behalf of WDSRA… THANK YOU Exchange Club of Naperville and Ribfest volunteers!
