Pet Words of Wisdom – May is here

-

It’s May!

Warm weather must be around the corner. As I write this we are just 24 hours after our unexpected snow storm. We waited to bring in Koi for the season and for that I am grateful. We should have fish here in good numbers by the second week of May. Plants arrive around Mother’s day. We are looking forward to a great pond season. Support supplies are new and in good numbers.

Don’t forget we have live fishing bait available every day.
We’re ramping up for our busiest time of year for adoptions. It is so great to send home these amazing animals to start their new lives.

Many activities begin here at Dog Patch during the month of May. Check out #dogpatchalumni. Here you can see the entrants into our first annual alumni photo contest. We are collecting entries throughout May.

Our Kids Club meets at 4PM on Tues., May 14 and Sat., May 25. Check out Facebook for details.

Then there’s May 25. We’re having our Cabin Fever Party, including puppy play time. Our adopted puppies can have a play session here at the store. Maybe your pet will meet her sister!

Remember that microchips save lives. If your pet is not chipped make it happen. Spray or neuter your pets. Let’s stop filling the shelters with unwanted animals.

Finally, thanks to everyone who supports your locally-owned-and-operated small businesses. We are feeling the pinch from Amazon and Chewys. We need your patronage to continue our rescue efforts!
