Above / The Fry Family YMCA, located at 2120 95th Street, will join KidsMatter to host “Screenagers: How Much Screen Time Is Healthy?” on April 25, 2019. The public is welcome.

KidsMatter in collaboration with Fry Y will host a movie screening of “Screenagers: How Much Screen Time Is Healthy?” from 6:30 to 8:30PM Thursday, April 25, 2019, at the Fry Family YMCA, located at 2120 95th Street. The public is invited.

According to promotional materials released by Dusty Holoubek, Director of Marketing for KidsMatter, “Screenagers” will address many questions that are rising to the top of conversations among concerned parents in this digital age. For instance, “Are you watching kids scroll through life, with their rapid-fire thumbs and six-second attention span?”

Parents who might be concerned that their young children are headed in that direction are invited to attend an engaging program with a movie that has been conducted more than 5,000 times by community providers in over 60 countries.

‘Screenagers: How Much Screen Time Is Healthy?’

“Screenagers: How Much Screen Time Is Healthy?” is a documentary about growing up in the digital age. The movie takes a deeply personal approach as one doctor probes into the vulnerable corners of family life—including her own—to explore struggles over social media, video games, academics, and internet addiction.

“Screenagers” reveals how adults can empower children, teens, and young adults—who spend an
average of 6.5 hours a day on cell phones, computers and other devices—to best navigate the digital
world and find balance, organizers said.

Parents and their children are invited to the program hosted by KidsMatter at the Fry Family Y that will include a Parents Guide, discussion, refreshments, snacks, and free childcare.

Pre-registration is suggested and appreciated. Register online at rebrand.ly/screenagers-042519 or call (630) 300-0228.
