Through March 3, Theatre: North Central College presents the second half of a two weekend run of the popular musical “Sweeney Todd” at 7:30PM March 1-2, and 2PM March 3 in the theatre at Meiley-Swallow Hall, 31 S. Ellsworth St. The barber Benjamin Barker, under the alias Sweeney Todd, seeks vengeance after being wrongfully sentenced to life imprisonment by the corrupt Judge Turpin. Tickets are $15/adults, $10/students and seniors.
Through March 24, Art Exhibit: North Central college presents the collection “Essence” by Amanda Meyer, who uses conceptual photography to tell vivid stories. Her work will be on display from Feb. 8 to March 24 in the College’s Schoenherr Gallery in the Fine Arts Center, 171 E. Chicago Ave.
Through April 3, Art Exhibit: North Central College will host a collection of photography by the award-winning Nolan McCants. The photographs will be on display from Feb. 3 to April 3 at the College’s Oesterle Library Gallery, 320 E. School St. McCants is known for immersing himself in the diverse cultures of the world, capturing rich cultural treasures from ordinary life.

March 1, Visit Day: High school students and their parents or guardians are invited to attend North Central College’s Visit Day Friday, March 1, in the lobby of the Wentz Concert Hall and Fine Arts Center, 171 E. Chicago Ave. The day begins with check-in at 9:15AM and concludes at 12:30PM with lunch at Kaufman Dining Hall. Visitors can take a walking tour and attend informative sessions on financial aid, academic highlights and student life. An optional event for high-achieving students is set for 9AM. March 18, Regional college fair: North Central College is the host site for the Illinois Regional College Fair. It will take place from 6 to 8PM Monday, March 19, in the College’s Residence Hall/Recreation Center, 440 S. Brainard St. Representatives from some 200 in-state and out-of-state colleges and universities, as well as the armed forces, will be available to meet with high school students and their parents or guardians. March 2, Music: North Central College hosts the Chords for Kids Concert, a free show for children with special needs and their families at 7PM Saturday, March 2, in the Wentz Concert Hall, 171 E. Chicago Ave. The music will feature classical songs to more popular tunes that are sure to delight. Children and parents are welcome to sing along, dance and be themselves. Admission is free, but tickets are required.
March 7, Music: North Central College features its Symphony Band and Chamber Players in a winter concert at 7PM Thursday, March 7, in the College’s Wentz Concert Hall, 171 E. Chicago Ave. Tickets are $5/adults and $3/students and seniors.
March 8, Music: North Central College presents the Jazz Faculty’s second performance of, “An Evening of Big Band” at 8PM Friday, March 8, in the College’s Madden Theatre at the Fine Arts Center, 171 E. Chicago Ave. The North Central College Big Band will perform under the direction of Tim Coffman, featuring members of the jazz faculty and guest artists. Tickets are $22/adults and $17/students and seniors.
March 9, Music: North Central College hosts Gabriel Sanchez as he presents “The Prince Experience” at 8PM Saturday, March 9 in Pfeiffer Hall, 310 E. Benton Ave. Sanchez has been portraying Prince since 2002 in this critically acclaimed show that brings together the best musical talent in Chicago and Wisconsin. Clad in purple, Sanchez recreates a stunningly authentic trip through time, taking the tribute band standard to new a new level. Tickets are $35, $25 and $20.
March 16, Music: The DuPage Symphony Orchestra presents “Luck o’ the Irish” at 7:30PM Saturday, March 16 in North Central College’s Wentz Concert Hall, 171 E. Chicago Ave. Hear Charles Villiers Stanford’s Rhapsody No. 1 performed along with Amy Beach’s Gaelic Symphony in preparation for St. Patrick’s Day festivities. Tickets are $33 for adults, $29 for seniors and $15 for students.
March 19, Book Signing: Anderson’s Bookshop and North Central College welcome star of Broadway’s “Book of Mormon” and HBO’s “Girls” Andrew Rannells for a Q&A and book signing event for his new book, “Too Much is Not Enough,” at 7PM Tuesday, March 19, in the Wentz Concert Hall, 171 E. Chicago Ave. Rannells takes readers on a journey through his own life as a young actor moving from Nebraska to New York City. March 23, Music: North Central College hosts a Chicago Sinfonietta performance of “In Darkness We Rise: A Concert of Remembrance” at 8PM Saturday, March 23, at the Wentz Concert Hall, 171 E. Chicago Ave. Explore the Jewish diaspora and other stories of love, loss and unyielding hope. Tickets are $62 and $49.
March 24, Music: North Central College presents The Four C Notes, the Midwest’s only tribute dedicated to recreating the music of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons at 3PM and 6PM Sunday, March 24, in the Madden Theatre, 171 E. Chicago Ave. Tickets are $35 and $30.
March 29-May 19, Art Exhibit: North Central College presents a collection by visual artist, curator and creative entrepreneur Sergio Gomez titled “Parallel Stories” from March 29 to May 19 in the Schoenherr Art Gallery, 171 E. Chicago Ave.
March 29, Music: North Central College’s acclaimed jazz faculty are featured in “Revenge of the Rhythm Section,” a concert by drummer Jack Mouse and bassist Kelly Sill at 8PM Friday, March 29, in the College’s Madden Theatre, 171 E Chicago Ave. Tickets are $22/adult and $17/students and seniors.
