Planning for programs to benefit every child

-

The Little Friends Benefit Auction is one of the agency’s largest fundraisers, featuring an elegant evening complete with a cocktail reception, dinner, live auction, raffles and much more. Our 43rd Annual event is set for Sat., March 2, 2019 at the Sheraton Lisle.

More than 500 business and community leaders along with area volunteers help make this a spectacular event, raising much-needed funds to provide programming and services to children and adults with special challenges. What’s more, this special event is an unforgettable evening of fun, friendship and advocacy that matters to many.

For more information about sponsorship opportunities or tickets, visit “event” at www.littlefriendsinc.org or contact Beth Praetz at bpraetz@lilfriends.com or (630) 281-1890. We hope to see you there!

On a related note, we recently welcomed Jason Altenbern to the Little Friends Senior Leadership Team as our new Vice President of Agency Advancement. He will lead our fundraising and development efforts as well as oversee marketing and communications for the agency. Previously, Jason served as Development Director at 360 Youth Services, Community Relations Coordinator for Indian Prairie School District 204, and as Director of Community Development at North Central College. I’m truly excited that Jason will be joining our team and look forward to working with him in the time ahead.

Finally, I’m encouraged to tell you about Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), one of the most studied and effective treatments for young children with Autism. Early therapy helps children obtain essential cognitive, academic, and social skills to help them learn and succeed for the rest of their lives.

Call and ask about our new 15-hour per week, center-based program for children 18 months to six years of age. The program runs from 9AM to noon or 1PM to 4PM, Monday through Friday. These extended sessions will give every child the needed individual therapy to boost their skills fast with time to play and interact with other children. Our ABA program is run by Board Certified Behavior Analysts who have over 20 years of experience. Our experienced staff is what makes us different. Not only are they BCBAs, but they all have child development backgrounds which make a difference for every child.

Our center accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO and DuPage Medical Group BCBS HMO. For more information, please contact Gale at (630) 305-4196, Ext. 5.

And again, we hope to see you at the auction!
