Journey with Autism – Vow to be better

-

What are the most common resolutions people do each year? Health and dieting, exercise and better habits fill the list, but the most popular surprise is the vow to be a better person.

For less than we might think, the most incredible changes for us sharing the planet might occur if you and I did a few loving things. Beginning with really treating each person that you meet and have your life linked to like you would have them act towards you. Could something so simple really do that much good?

The next time you’re one step away from anger, imagine how much your own wish to be forgiven is needed by someone else. Doing good is easier if we don’t keep score. Give to the point of pain and the feeling of love, even as it hurts, will shower you with a lot more than spending only what was given to you.

Gossip is a great example of something people love, as long as it isn’t about them. Being a better person means having no tolerance for the temptation of discussing others as entertainment. Being a cheerleader and saying positive things to encourage others gives direction to help boost another’s confidence. Saying long-needed kind words is something we can do easily and the results will truly change someone‘s days and maybe even their life. Work on these small, good practices and you’re bound to have more flow back to you than what you even gave.
