The Hitchcock Design Group Board of Directors has named Bill Inman as President of the 39-year-old planning and landscape architecture company. As its Chief Executive Officer, Inman is now directly responsible for strategic and operational leadership of Hitchcock Design Group’s 35 professionals in Austin, Texas, Indianapolis, Indiana, and Chicago and Naperville, Illinois.
“Bill’s considerable experience, outstanding skills and focused ambition amply qualify him to be our next-generation leader,” says founder Rick Hitchcock, who will continue as Chairman of the Board. “As a seasoned practitioner and 29-year career at Hitchcock Design Group, Bill promotes our values, thoroughly understands our core business and is an outspoken champion of creating better places. More importantly, Bill has an uncommon combination of marketing, talent development, and strategic planning dimensions that equip him to be a great leader.”
Inman says he’s grateful for the opportunity and thrilled to lead the company forward.
“Hitchcock Design Group is a great firm in a great place in time,” he notes. “We have an immense amount of success to celebrate and we have extraordinary potential in a world that craves better places to live, work and play.”
In addition to leading the organization, Inman will continue to work on select recreation planning and design projects.
In addition to his board responsibilities, Hitchcock will continue to promote Hitchcock Design Group’s urban planning and design services, focusing on his passion for urban riverfronts.
