Come Learn, Pray and Play. You and your preschooler are invited to attend a Kindergarten Open House event. These one-hour programs are scheduled in the kindergarten classroom where attendees will meet administrators, teachers, and current parents. Prior to a tour, you will hear an overview of the kindergarten year and have an opportunity to have your questions answered. Cadence SFC is committed to providing the community with a safe, fun and well-organized place to play soccer and futsal under the leadership of Coach Zego as the facility hosts its first Midwest Tournament. North Central College hosts Grammy award winning artist Marc Cohn at 8PM Friday, Nov. 16 in Wentz Concert Hall, 171 E. Chicago Ave. A natural storyteller, his Grammy award winning ballad “Walking in Memphis” solidified his place as one of this generation’s most compelling singer/songwriters. Quigley’s Irish Pub 20 Year Anniversary Bash – All Day

Quigley’s is turning 20. Finger on the Trigger will be there live and in the flesh singing and stomping along to all your favorite Irish and Irish(ish?) tunes. Doors open at 10AM and the good times will be rolling until 2AM. All ages welcome from open until 7PM. Come for Finger on the Trigger at noon. Stay for Cirrus Falcon at 8PM. Raise a glass to Quigley’s, and here’s to 20 more years.

North Central College presents the DuPage Symphony Orchestra and their performance of “Romantic Rhapsodies” at 7:30PM Saturday, Nov. 17 in the Wentz Concert Hall, 171 E. Chicago Ave. Award-winning young pianist Dominic Chili will be the featured soloist in a performance with music from Mendelssohn and Rachmaninoff. Tickets at finearts.northcentralcollege.edu.

Naperville Noon Lions Club Turkey Trot 5K again welcomes the community to come run for fun and the benefit of local charities at 8AM Thurs., Nov. 22, Thanksgiving Day. In other words, organizers say, “Run Fast. Eater Later. No Penalty.” Registration is now in progress.

Quigley’s Irish Pub will be open Thanksgiving morning where folks will gather to cheer on the runners in the Turkey Trot.

Meson Sabika again will host its annual complimentary Thanksgiving Dinner with all the trimmings for individuals and families in financial, emotional or physical need on Thurs., Nov. 22.

December 1 & 2, 2018

Then comes a busy first weekend in December to kick off the holiday season and the whole community is invited. The Little Friends Parade of Lights begins at 7PM on Sat., Dec., 1, in downtown Naperville. (Note also that Little Friends Giving Tree Program runs now through Dec. 7.)

The Naperville Municipal Band performs a one-hour holiday concert at 12:45PM Sun., Dec. 2, in the Wentz Concert Hall. Admission is free of charge. 

At 2PM Sun., Dec. 2, the Laughing Lincoln Century Walk sculpture will be dedicated in Central Park, followed at 3PM with a Century Walk fundraiser ($100 per person) in the North Central College Fine Arts Center.  The fundraiser celebrates the 200th Birthday of the State of Illinois (Dec. 3) as well as Century Walk’s 50th location of outdoor art.
