Century Walk Artists Exhibit Original Works – 6PM | Free of Admission

From 6 to 9PM Fri., Nov. 9, the public is welcome to a new indoor exhibit that will open with a variety of original work by Century Walk Artists in the Schoenherr Art Gallery. The exhibit runs Fri., Nov. 9 through Sun. Dec. 2, 2018. For more information about Century Walk art with its many stories, visit www.centurywalk.org.  Or take a stroll through downtown Naperville where art outside in public places depicts scenes from this city’s memories. 

DuPage’s 9th Annual Toys for Tots Gala – 7PM | $85-$125. Special Hilton room rate $94 for that evening, $10 of which will go to DuPage County Toys For Tots.

The public is invited to gather with the United States Marine Corps Toys For Tots DuPage at this festive gathering.  The event will begin with hors d’oeuvres and an open bar, networking and socializing, a wine pull and raffle baskets, and a fun and festive al fresco photo booth by Alfresco Photo Booth. Danielle Tufano, morning Co-Host on 95.9FM The River, will serve as event MC. Guests are encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy for the Toys For Tots DuPage staff to catalog and distribute by Christmas to families in need within DuPage County. NVHS Theatre presents: Matchmaker on the Main Stage – 7PM | $7-$11

Hello Dolly without the music! Fun, silly & cheaper than Broadway! In Thornton Wilders classic The Matchmaker- adapted to the Tony-winning musical Hello, Dolly! – Horace Vandergelder, a wealthy merchant in Yonkers, New York, employs matchmaker Mrs. Dolly Levi in his search for a wife. Dolly quickly becomes involved with Vandergelders two clerks, several lovely ladies, and the headwaiter at New York’s Harmonia Gardens restaurant. This farce races to its hilarious conclusion as these relationships struggle to sort themselves out. The Annual Fall Blood Drive runs from 7:30AM to 1:30PM on Sat., Nov. 10. Anyone who cannot make it to the drive is welcome to donate at the Naperville Donor Center, located at 2702 Aurora Avenue, just down the street from Menard’s. By using Code 073C, the Judd Kendall VFW Post will receive credit for your donation. To schedule an appointment, call LifeSource at 1.888.427.4836 or log onto www.lifesource.org. Marine Corps. Birthday Flag Raising – 10AM | Free

A group of Marine Corps Veterans from Naperville with the local Marine Corps Recruiters and members of E Company 4th Recon Battalion, will a flag raising to celebrate the 243rd birthday of the United States Marine Corps.

Sunday

Veterans Day is every year at the 11th Hour on the 11th Day of the 11th Month

The Naperville American Legion Post 43 and the Judd Kendall VFW Post 3873 welcome all Veterans and the community to a brief observance at 11AM on Nov. 11, at Veterans Park, located at 303 E. Gartner Road, across the street from Grace United Methodist Church. 

Naperville Municipal Band Concert – 3PM | Free
Wentz Concert Hall – 171 E Chicago Ave, Naperville, IL 60540
For 2018, the annual Veterans Day Concert will be performed at 3PM Sun., Nov. 11, on stage at Wentz Concert Hall in the North Central College Fine Art Center, located at 171 E. Chicago Ave. The concert is free of admission charge.  A special collection in the lobby will accept items for Comfort and Care Packages for Operation Support Our Troops America.

Meson Sabika again will host its annual complimentary Thanksgiving Dinner with all the trimmings for individuals and families in financial, emotional or physical need on Thurs., Nov. 22.
