Spreading the word

-

Little Friends has recently formed an Auxiliary Board to help us spread the word about the good work we do and assist in generating much needed funding to continue to empower those we serve, and their families, to lead their best possible lives. Comprised of individuals spanning several generations, these are folks who want to help tell the organization’s story and raise some money when the opportunities present themselves.  We couldn’t be more appreciative of the commitment of time and talent to help us expand our reach.

Holiday Giving Trees such as this one in 2017 at Busey Bank in Naperville Plaza offer opportunities to brighten the holidays for Little Friends’ families.

On Thursday, November 8, with the generous help from CityGate Grille, and to introduce our Auxiliary Board members to the greater community, Little Friends will be hosting a “Dinner with Friends” Event where the servers will be members from our Auxiliary Board. The purpose of the evening is to kick-off our annual Giving Trees program for our low income clients and families; 100 percent of tips generated from the “exceptional service” will be donated to the Giving Trees program.

We think the event will be a lot of fun and encourage people to come for a great meal and fun evening!  We also are excited because this is the first event of our newly-formed Auxiliary Board.

We’ve long felt that even though we’ve been in existence for over 53 years, we can do a better job of letting the community know that we’re here and able to help families if needed.  We truly appreciate the commitments from our new Auxiliary Board to help us grow and improve.

The “Dinner with Friends” on November 8 at the CityGate Grille is our first event featuring our new Auxiliary Board.  We hope to see you there!
