Loaves & Fishes Community Services partners with Catch 35 for ‘Toasting for a Cause’

Above / Cheers! Loaves & Fishes Community Services & Catch 35 again will partner to host for “Toasting for a Cause” in support of struggling families in DuPage County.

Naperville, IL – October 9, 2018 / Loaves & Fishes and Catch 35 Naperville have announced their partnership to host Toasting for a Cause from 6:30PM to 9:30PM on Mon., Nov. 5.

The event will raise funds for essential services at Loaves & Fishes that were provided to more than 18,600 individuals in DuPage County each year. Catch 35 is the recent winner of Loaves & Fishes’ 2018 Naperville Chef Showdown.

Catch 35 is a tremendous partner to our organization, and we are grateful for their generosity,” said Loaves & Fishes CEO Mike Havala. “We look forward to another first-class food and wine event at Toasting for a Cause.”

“We are excited to offer an exquisite food and wine event in partnership with Loaves & Fishes,” said Carl Jensen, Director of Operations for Taste America Restaurants. “The wine pairing is a sampling of our global wine list featuring lush wines from Oregon, France, and California.” 

Catch 35’s Chef Eddie Sweeney describes the dinner menu: “Each dish is a unique autumn journey of the senses highlighting colors, textures, and flavors reminiscent of the season. We are looking forward to this unique dining experience at Catch 35 Naperville!”

The Menu…

Guests will enjoy an appetizer of chicken liver pâté with a toasted sea salt ciabatta and bacon honey served with Bethel Heights, Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley, OR, 2015. 

The four course meal includes: First course – Roasted Butternut Squash Salad with prosciutto, arugula, goat gouda, truffle oil, balsamic reduction served with J Moreau & Fils, Chablis, France, 2015; Second course – Grilled Georges Bank Scallops, brown sugar braised Asian greens, ginger soy hollandaise served with Miner, Chardonnay, Napa Valley, CA, 2016; Third course – Dry Aged New York Strip with marrow bone, parsnip mashed potatoes, smoked caviar and au jus served with Hall, Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley, CA, 2015: Fourth Course – Crème Brulee with currants and speculoos cookie butter served with Chappellet, Mountain Cuvee, St Helena, CA, 2016.
