‘Toasting for a Cause’ is set for Nov. 5

Above / Earlier this year, Catch 35 Chef Eddie Sweeney took home the trophies during the inaugural Naperville Chef’s Showdown held at Loaves & Fishes Community Services. Watch for news regarding the 2019 Naperville Chef’s Showdown coming soon. Meanwhile, Chef Eddie has planned the menu for “Toasting for a Cause.”
 
In partnership with Catch 35, Loaves and Fishes Community Services again is hosting “Toasting for a Cause” at the restaurant in downtown Naperville. 

From 6:30PM to 9:30PM Mon., Nov. 5, 2018, the dinner will feature gourmet food prepared by Chef Eddie Sweeney and exquisitely paired wines from France, Oregon and California to benefit Loaves & Fishes Community Services.

Reception followed by four courses paired with wine

For starters, enjoy a welcome reception featuring Chicken Liver Pâté and Toasted sea salt ciabatta, bacon honey paired with Bethel Heights, Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley, OR, 2015. Afterward, a four-course dinner will be served.

First Course: Roasted Butternut Squash Salad with J Moreau & Fils, Chablis, France, 2015.

Second Course: Grilled Georges Bank Scallops with Miner, Chardonnay, Napa Valley, CA, 2016.

Third Course: Dry Aged New York Strip with Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley, CA, 2015.

Fourth Course:  Crème Brulee with Chappellet, Mountain Cuvee, St Helena, CA, 2016.
