Art Talk – Riverwalk Fine Art Fair returns

-

The Riverwalk Fine Art Fair rolls into Naperville for a stunning two-day exhibition and sale on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 15 and 16. Scheduled for 10AM to 5PM both days, the juried show comprises 120 top-rated national artists who will fill the downtown area with an eclectic collection of fine art and fine craft.

Over 70,000 festival-goers are expected to browse and buy during the course of the two-day event. The show attracts art lovers and serious collectors, new homeowners and leisure seekers who want to spend the day relaxing in the surrounds of the Riverwalk, Naperville’s crown jewel. Attendees will find hand-crafted original work in 14 medium categories including painting, ceramic, wood, jewelry, fiber, photography, glass, and metal. Many art acquisitions of various sizes will transpire, from small iconic fashion accessories to full-sized horse sculptures, leaving artists and purchasers feeling fulfilled.

The DuPage Children’s Museum will be on site with an activity tent in the parking lot at Jackson and Main. The amphitheater, located on the Riverwalk at the west end of the show near Jackson and Eagle, will serve as a respite for those looking for entertainment and a place to rest. Acappellago, a west suburban a cappella chamber choir, will be making its first appearance at the fair and will perform both days at 1PM and 3PM. The Allegro!!! Group, a festival favorite, will return for an elite string performance on Sunday from 10:30AM to 12:30PM.

The Naperville Art League (NAL) serves as host for the Riverwalk Fine Art Fair, its signature event. More than 100 of its members donate their time and work under the leadership of the show director to serve the needs of the artists and attendees. Funds raised through the event are used to run the League’s Fine Art Center & Gallery and ensure that through its classes and activities, NAL will provide an artful environment for the community all year round.

The Riverwalk Fine Art Fair is funded in part by the City of Naperville.
