At approximately 2PM on September 11, 2016, two offenders – a male and a female – entered the Sprint store located at 95th Street and Route 59 in Naperville, tied up the employees and robbed them of their personal belongings and numerous new cell phones.
The male offender was subsequently identified as 20-year-old Antwon L. McCollum of the 4000 block of Wilcox in Chicago. An arrest warrant was issued for McCollum for one count each of Armed Robbery (Class X Felony), Aggravated Robbery (Class 1 Felony) and Theft (Class 3 Felony) and three counts of Aggravated Unlawful Restraint (Class 3 Felony).
McCollum was arrested by the Chicago Police Department on August 12, 2018, on unrelated charges and the active Naperville warrant. He is being held on a $500,000 bond, with 10 percent to apply, on the Naperville charges.
The unidentified female accomplice (pictured) is described as black, approximately 5’5″ and 110 pounds and is still wanted in connection with the 2016 robbery. Anyone with information as to her identity is asked to contact the Naperville Police Department at (630) 420-6666 and ask for the Investigations Division.
The Naperville Police wish to remind the public and the news media that a charge is merely an accusation, and a defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
