Time for a new school year

-

Little Friends began more than 53 years ago as one private school that grew into three unique programs serving those with special needs. Though we’re on “summer break,” this period is full of activities and special projects.

Our Wright Street campus renovation projects include a “refresh” of the 2nd floor of Krejci Academy and an update to the exterior of our Mansion High School. Keeping our facilities, programs, and technology current with today’s demands reinforces our desire to be considered a premier private program for those with special needs.

Krejci Academy, our flagship program, supports the needs of children from ages 5 to 22; approximately 90 percent of the enrolled students are challenged by Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Besides educational curriculum, we work on helping children gain independence and developing better life and communication skills.

Bridge High School provides our students with support needed to build life skills for transition after education to be as independent as possible. Our students gain experiences in preparation for potential employment in the community.

Mansion High School is a program that helps high school students cope with social and emotional challenges. Utilizing a unique program that involves group guided interaction, we focus on helping young adults face challenges they are experiencing with the intent of helping them gain confidence to return to their home school. In today’s world where stress and pressure for some can be difficult, Mansion high School fills a need and helps young individuals get through periods of time when support is needed.

Clearly the school programs Little Friends operates serves unique needs. It is important that the communities we serve know that we’re here and able to help.
