Pet Words of Wisdom – It’s July!

-

Let’s first talk about dogs, cats and fireworks.

Did you know that more dogs are lost on the Fourth of July than any other day of the year?
Please secure your animals during fireworks season that often extends beyond Independence Day on July 4.

Please make sure your pets are Microchipped and that your microchip is registered to you.

We have many different products that can help with the stresses of the season from herbal calming agents to CBD oil. CBD oil is the non-psychoactive side of hemp or marijuana. We can legally sell these products because they contain no THC. There is no buzz here. Just the calming effects needed for the stresses of our best friends. CBDs are great for any anxiety issue, help with seizures and even inflammation and pain. One of our dogs is on CBDs for anxiety and the other two take them for arthritis. All three reap the benefits of these all natural products. We have treats and oils. They vary in strength so we can give just the right amount to your pets.

Outside, we are still loaded with pond fish and plants and all the supplies you need for your back door pond.

And don’t forget the wild birds! They need plenty of fresh water daily in addition to their seed. And be sure to empty standing water to prevent mosquito reproduction and infestation this time of year.

Summer also is a great time to adopt a dog or cat. Kids are home and the family does more things together. Come in and check out our rescue puppies and kittens. You won’t regret it.
