Naperville Cubs’ fans in West Wind display team spirit and patriotism with a big W on America’s birthday. Chicago Cubs play the Detroit Tigers at Wrigley Field today at 1:20PM. (UPDATE, Cubs win, 5-2.)

(UPDATE / After the second evacuation of Knoch Park due to threat of lightning and thunderstorms, Ribfest festivities and fireworks were canceled. Weather permitting, Ribfest runs from noon to 10PM, July 5-7. Fireworks tentatively rescheduled for Thursday evening, July 5. Be safe.)

Ribfest opens at noon, closes at 10PM. Admission tickets available at the gates for both North Park (cost varies) and South Park ($5) of Knoch Park. Kids 11 and under always are free when accompanied by an adult.

Beginning at 5PM, admission to the South Park at Ribfest is free for all! Eleven ribbers, carnival rides, family fun, live music and more welcome you to enjoy the evening prior to the annual fireworks display at dusk.

(UPDATE, July 4 / Knoch Park reopened at 7:30PM. Fireworks will begin at 10PM. All general admission is free.)

(UPDATE, July 4 / Shortly after all general admission became free in the South Park on July 4, officials closed all of Knoch Park due to inclement weather on the radar. Ribfest patrons were evacuated and urged to take shelter at Naperville Central High School.)
