July highlights at Naper Settlement

Did You Know? Naperville residents receive free general admission with proof of residency. Not applicable for special events. And, the Rita (Fredenhagen) and John Harvard Early Learning Playscape features a splashpad with water features (turned on weather permitting).

Tuesday-Saturday, 10AM-4PM; Sunday, 1-4PM, Closed on Monday

Wednesday Walking Club

8-9AM • Wednesdays

Get fit the old-fashioned way! When it comes to outdoor activity, there is no better way than an active stroll around the beautiful 12-acre museum campus. Check in at the Pre-Emption House Visitor Center, then log your minutes (not miles). No registration is required. Earn reward tickets to Naper Settlement programs and events.

Playscape Readers

Wednesday, July 11 • 11AM (ages 2–5); 1PM (ages 5–7)

Find a seat on the quilt for an engaging story time featuring changing animal themes. This program is free with paid admission.

Naperville Plays!

Sunday, July 15 • 1–4PM

Join the Naper Settlement educators at Knoch Knolls Nature Center for this fun and educational program. Families will quadruple their fun with themed hands-on craft activities along with storytelling provided in partnership by the DuPage Children’s Museum, Naper Settlement, Knoch Knolls Nature Center, and the Naperville Public Library.

Third Thursday Thinkers

Thursday, July 19 • 10:30–11AM (ages 2–5); 2–2:30 PM (ages 5–7)
Take your young thinker on a museum adventure! July’s Third Thursday Thinkers focuses on animal habitats. Discover where your favorite animals live and explore how animals adapt to different environments. This program is free with paid admission.

Naper Nights Community Concert Series

Friday, July 20 & Saturday, July 21 • 5-10 PM

Naper Nights sets the stage for summer weekends in July, and August of nonstop music. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy music under the stars on the beautiful grounds of Naper Settlement this summer. No outside food or beverages are allowed. Gates are open from 5-10 PM. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for youth (ages 4-12). Members and children under 4 receive free admission.

On Friday, July 20, guests will rock out to The Fortunate Sons, featuring the music of Creedence Clearwater Revival, and Turn the Page, a tribute to Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band. Get ready to move and groove on Saturday, July 21, to the music of Simply Elton with The Brown Dirt Cowboys, playing Elton John classics, and Natural Wonder, playing an evening of Stevie Wonder. Local favorites OMT will kick off Saturday’s line-up, playing a variety of music from rock to country.
