Hurley & Eagan, CPA, group hires office manager

Bill Eagan, principal of Hurley and Eagan, Certified Public Accountants, has announced that Beth DeGeeter has been appointed office manager of the recently merged firm.

“We’re happy to have Beth among us,” said Eagan. “She handles the day-to-day needs of our seven-member team so they can do the work our clients expect.”

Late last year, Barsema Tuzik & Hurley in Downers Grove, owned for 20 years by William Hurley, merged with Eagan & Company in Naperville. Since Jan. 1, 2018, the firm has been doing business as Hurley & Eagan, Certified Public Accountants.

For more information, call (630) 963-3323.

Check out the water station in Central Park

Located near the public restrooms, the filling station in Central Park serves water for pets, people and water bottles. Strategically-placed water filling stations could help minimize plastic bottle waste, aid hydration and be good for everyone’s environment. How many of this type of water filling stations would be beneficial around Naperville? What do you think? Let your public officials know.

‘A Chair Affair’ has returned to shops in downtown Naperville

Bridge Communities is bringing back a favorite “chairity” event to downtown Naperville.  A Chair Affair, the annual cocktail auction and gala, will be held on June 7 at Elements at Water Street, the banquet event space inside the Naperville Riverwalk’s Hotel Indigo.

Meanwhile, the whimsical, one-of-a-kind chairs redesigned by local artisans are now on display throughout retail businesses in downtown Naperville until June 7. As an exciting addition this year, the artwork selection also includes special, decorative pieces for lawn and garden. Online voting for the chairs is now available.

Tickets for the June 7 event are $60 and include an hors d’oeuvres and dessert buffet, plus an open bar. Proceeds of A Chair Affair go directly to support the homeless families served by Bridge Communities in the Naperville area.

Tickets are available for purchase at www.bridgecommunities.org.
