June highlights at Naper Settlement

Did You Know? Naperville residents receive free general admission with proof of residency. Not applicable for special events. And, the Rita (Fredenhagen) and John Harvard Early Learning Playscape features a splashpad with water features (turned on weather permitting).

Get fit the old-fashioned way! When it comes to outdoor activity, there is no better way than an active stroll around the beautiful 12-acre museum campus. Check in at the Pre-Emption House Visitor Center, then log your minutes (not miles). No registration is required. Earn reward tickets to Naper Settlement programs and events.

Victorian Spa Overnight

7:30PM Friday, June 1, through 8:30 AM Saturday, June 2

$45/Scout, $18/Adult Naperville residents do not receive free admission to this program 1 adult per 4 Scouts maximum Brownies: Grade 3 Juniors: Grades 4 to 5

Have luxurious fun while you try different methods that ladies used in the 1800s to bring out their natural beauty. Visit the Martin Mitchell Mansion and make lotions and potions to pamper yourself. Enjoy a nighttime snack and continental breakfast. Bring your overnight gear. Naper Settlement patch included in price.

Playscape Readers

11AM and 1PM Wednesday, June 6

$12/adult, $10/senior (62+), $8/youth (4-12) Naperville residents with proof of residency, children under 4 and members are free

Find a seat on the quilt for an engaging story time featuring changing seasonal themes. There are two different times for age groups, 11 AM (ages 2–5) and 1 PM (ages 5–7).

Hometown Picnic

1-4 PM Sunday, June 10

$12/adult, $10/senior (62+), $8/youth (4-12) Naperville residents with proof of residency, children under 4 and members are free

What better way to spend a lazy, Sunday afternoon than at a picnic with an old-fashioned baseball game, fun contests, and Touch-A-Truck vehicles? Bring your family, lawn chairs, blankets and a picnic and enjoy reliving the past! The Chicago Salmon versus the Lemont Quarrymen in a vintage baseball game at 1PM. All activities are free with museum admission.

Naper Nights Community Concert Series

5-10PM Friday and Saturday, June 15-16

$15/adult, $10/youth (4–12) Free admission for members and children under 4

Naper Nights sets the stage for three summer weekends in June, July and August of nonstop music. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy music under the stars on the beautiful grounds of Naper Settlement this summer. No outside food or beverages are allowed. Gates are open from 5-10 PM. Friday night features Wall of Denial, which captures audiences with the music of Stevie Ray Vaughan, and The PettyBreakers, the nation’s premier “Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers” tribute act. Saturday night features Tom Thumb’s band, revisiting the music of Bob Dylan with a 6-piece electric band, and Old Shoe featuring Low Down Brass Band Horns playing Paul Simon hits.

Third Thursday Thinkers

10:30AM - 11AM Thursday, June 21

Naperville Woman’s Club Fine Art Fair

10AM - 5PM Saturday and Sunday, June 23-24

Free Admission. Free Parking.

The 59th annual Naperville Woman’s Club Fine Art Fair is a two-day community celebration featuring over 100 artists exhibiting, selling, and demonstrating their original works. This event is the longest continuously running art fair in Illinois. Activities at the event include: Entertainment, Silent auction, Artist demonstrations, Empty Bowls Fundraiser by Clay Space to benefit local food pantries, and Petite Picassos Children’s Activity Tent.
