-

Above / City of Naperville is currently accepting applications for 2019 Special Event Permits. Completed applications must be submitted by June 4, 2018.

NAPERVILLE, Ill. — The City of Naperville is now accepting Special Event Permit applications for events occurring during the 2019 calendar year. Applications are due to City staff by June 4, 2018.

All outdoor events held on city property, e.g. streets, sidewalks, parks, etc., are considered special events, as are events deemed to significantly impact the city. An event that requests any of the following actions, which must be approved by City Council, will be considered to significantly impact the city and require a Special Event Permit:

  • Events requiring street closures (with the exception of block parties).
  • Events that require the closure of parking facilities and/or the use of city-owned property.
  • Events that require the posting of “No Parking, Tow Zones.”

Permit applications, as well as a special event resource guide and accessibility checklist, are available at www.naperville.il.us/eventpermit. Completed applications must be submitted to the City’s Special Events Coordinator no later than June 4, 2018.

Please note: This process of applying to hold a special event is separate from the process to apply for grant funds through the Special Events and Cultural Amenities (SECA) fund, which is also currently underway. Additional information about that process can be found at www.naperville.il.us/secagrant.
