Mandatory Special Events and Cultural Amenities (SECA) Fund Grant Pre-Application Workshops for grant applicants are scheduled for 10AM May 15 and 5PM May 17 at the Naperville Municipal Center.
NAPERVILLE, Ill. — The City of Naperville will offer two opportunities in May for individuals interested in applying for a 2019 Special Events and Cultural Amenities (SECA) Fund grant to attend a mandatory pre-application workshop.
The workshops are scheduled for 10AM Tuesday, May 15, and 5PM Thursday, May 17. Both workshops will be held in Council Chambers of the Naperville Municipal Center, 400 S. Eagle Street.
Attendance at one of the two workshops is mandatory for anyone with an interest in applying for grant funds through the SECA Fund in calendar year 2019. Topics to be covered include an overview of the program and their priorities along with eligibility, funding criteria, the application process, submission requirements and deadlines.
Application timeline runs June 4 through July 17
Please note that 2019 applications will be available beginning at noon on Monday, June 4, 2018, and will be due by noon on Tuesday, July 17, 2018. Late applications will not be accepted.
Any resident with an interest in the SECA program and the funding process is encouraged to attend one of these mandatory workshops.

The City of Naperville encourages celebrations of community that focus on the heritage, diversity and character of Naperville. In support of these activities, the City of Naperville established the SECA Fund in 2004 as “a separate fund used solely for the funding of social and artistic events and entities, providing cultural experiences for the Naperville community and its visitors.”
