DuPage Symphony Orchestra’s free chamber music concert at the library features DuPage Symphony Orchestra’s Double String Quartet. This is an educational and engaging program featuring a variety of music and demonstrations of this wonderful instrument. A question and answer session follow the performance. This program is presented in partnership with DuPage Symphony Orchestra and Naperville Public Library.

Small fish were biting while big fish were jumpin’ at May Watts Pond on April 21. Waterfowl also is returning to visibility along the banks, creating a place to observe egrets, great blue heron, seagulls, Canada geese and Mallard ducks among all the wild birds and other wildlife.

Every spring, the Kroehler YMCA celebrates Healthy Kids Day , the Ys national initiative to improve the health and well-being of kids and families. This years 27th annual events are scheduled for Saturday, April 21 from 10AM to 1PM. As always, Healthy Kids Day is 100% free and open to the public.

International Children’s Day – 1PM | Free

The Turkish American Cultural Alliance (TACA) and Turkish Friends of Naperville present International Children’s Day on Sunday, April 22 from 1 to 5PM. The event will be held at Ranch View Elementary School, 1651 Ranchview Dr. Naperville. This event promotes friendship and understanding among different cultures and features a parade of nations, performances in traditional costumes, exhibits, face painting, a magician show, ethnic food and many more. Naperville Municpal Band Spring Concert – 3PM | Free
Wentz Concert Hall – 171 E Chicago Ave. Naperville, IL 60540
The Naperville Municipal Band will be holding their Spring Concert at Wentz Hall starting at 3PM. “We’re saluting the Illinois Bi-Centennial, the 100th anniversary of the first World War… and the Navy,” said Naperville Municipal Band Conductor and Music Director Ron Keller, in regard to the focus of the 90-minute concert. Keller also is upbeat that the concert will feature guest conductor Patrick K. Sweeten, Lieutenant Commander, United States Navy Director, Fleet Band Activities.

From the fishing pier along the Naperville Riverwalk to neighborhood ponds to Whalon Lake, local fishing opportunities provide places to learn patience throughout the year… Fish are easy to catch in the cool waters of springtime, especially in April when fish can be fooled all month.

The Naperville Municipal Band will perform its Spring Concert on at 3PM Sun., April 22, at the Wentz Concert Hall.  Admission to the concert is free of charge.
