Career College Graduation

-

Turning Pointe Autism Foundation will proudly present fifteen new Career College Graduates at 1PM on May 18, at the Naperville Marriott. If you love the transformative power of springtime, this is the commencement ceremony you should not miss. All fifteen students successfully completed our yearlong COPES(tm) intensive employment readiness and training program, several students already secured internships and interviews for employment as they launch from our program.

The Graduation’s keynote speaker will be Joe Chura of Dealer Inspire & Launch Digital Marketing. Joe is a local entrepreneur, businessman, father and loyal friend to Turning Pointe. He will share his success story based on his personal drive to Think Bigger, as we send off graduates to become dreamers and doers in our own community.
Each of the graduating students have overcome, adapted and grown to achieve success in our Walgreens retail training environment, Made to Inspire Cafe, Eworks corporate partner site or in other Turning Pointe enterprises.

Each of the graduating students are a testament to how the right learning environment can create opportunities for employment. Nationwide, individuals with autism remain woefully under or unemployed. Turning Pointe Career College works locally to change this trend, recognizing every student has gifts, ability and talents that can benefit employers.

The Graduation event will also hold surprises as we honor members of the Class of 2018 with a Walgreens Customer Service and the Wolf Family COPES Award.

Historically, Career College Graduation is a unique opportunity to witness Turning Pointe’s mission in action and honor our remarkable students. If you wish to sponsor, support or attend the event, please contact Barb Brauer by May 10 at bbrauer@turningpointeaf.org. If you wish to learn how you can become an employer of one of our highly prepared graduates, contact Dana Rowe at drowe@turningpointeaf.org. If you cannot attend this humbling event, consider a tour of our school any Thursday evening 6-9PM in April or contact Barb to set up an individual tour.
