Ogden and Columbia Intersection Construction begins week of April 16

-

Above / Construction at the intersection of Ogden and Columbia begins the week of April 16, 2018. Continue to find alternate routes while work along Ogden stops traffic from time to time.

Be prepared for delays, lane closures and a bumpy road along Ogden Avenue. Thanks for remembering to support the local businesses during construction season.

NAPERVILLE, Ill. — Pending weather or unforeseen circumstances, construction to expand the intersection of Ogden Avenue and Columbia Street is expected to begin the week of April 16, 2018.

This Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT)-led project will improve safety and reduce congestion at this intersection by adding a dedicated right turn lane on the west leg of Ogden Avenue and a dedicated left turn lane on the north leg of Columbia Street. Traffic signal modernization and updated street lighting is also included in this project.

Motorists should expect lane closures while work is in progress. It is anticipated construction will continue through summer 2018, with completion dependent upon weather and unanticipated construction issues. Motorists should use extreme caution in the work zone, anticipate significant delays and allow for additional travel time or adjust their routes accordingly.
