William Hurley has announced that his accounting firm, Barsema Tuzik & Hurley in Downers Grove, has merged with William Eagan’s accounting firm, Eagan & Company, in Naperville.
Since January 1, 2018, the firm has been doing business as Hurley & Eagan, Certified Public Accountants.
“William Eagan, a highly capable, deeply experienced CPA joins me as a partner in the firm. Bill’s arrival reflects our growth and demand for skills at all levels of our business,” said Hurley.
“Bill’s arrival affords our clients, the benefit of continuity of service and interest in all elements of the work we do here,” Hurley continued. “As two full partners, we both have skin in the game and our success remains tied to our clients.”
Meanwhile after 20 years in business, Hurley says ultimately Eagan will lead more as he follows more, but Hurley has no defined timeline for retirement. Longtime members of the seven-member team remain in place to do the work for every client who has come to expect it, Hurley said.
“The addition of Bill Eagan gives us an opportunity to now look ahead,” said Hurley, noting he will continue his accounting business under the name Hurley & Eagan effective January 1, 2018.
